What does a Georgia summer do to an AC system that a milder climate does not?
Long humid stretches keep the system running most of the day, which loads up the blower, the outdoor coil and the capacitor. Humidity also means more condensate, so a clogged drain line shows up fast as water at the air handler or a system that shuts itself off. If your air conditioner runs constantly and the house still feels damp, call us and describe it. That symptom usually points at airflow, refrigerant charge or an oversized unit short cycling.
Do you cover rural addresses, or only towns?
We cover rural addresses. Long drives between calls are normal for our crew, and plenty of the homes we work on sit well outside city limits on dirt or gravel. When you call, give us the nearest crossroads or a landmark along with the address. That saves everyone time and helps us give you a realistic arrival window instead of a guess.
How soon can someone get out to me?
It depends on the day and how far out you are. We schedule by route, so a call in the morning often gets same-day or next-day attention, and we will tell you straight if it is going to be longer. If you are without cooling in July or without heat on a hard freeze night, say so when you call so we can weigh it against the rest of the route.
What should I check before I call for AC repair or heater repair?
Five safe things. Check the thermostat batteries and confirm it is set to cool or heat with the fan on auto. Look for a tripped breaker at the panel. Change the filter if it is gray. Clear leaves, grass clippings and vines away from the outdoor unit. Walk the house and make sure supply vents are open. Anything involving gas, refrigerant or high voltage is ours to handle, not yours.
I smell gas near my furnace. What do I do?
Get everyone out of the house first. Do not flip switches and do not hunt for the source. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility and let them clear the property. Once they say it is safe, call us and we will look at the furnace, the heat exchanger and the venting. Same rule if a carbon monoxide alarm sounds: outside first, then the call.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptoms
You describe what changed. No cold air, a breaker that keeps tripping, water near the air handler, a smell, a noise. That gives us a head start on parts before we ever leave the shop.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behavior and the outdoor unit. We look at the whole system, because a frozen coil usually points somewhere else.
- Step 3
You decide the repair
We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the rest of the system is likely to hold up. You pick the repair. We do not start work you did not approve.

Why homeowners call us
- Rural routes are normal for usWe drive long stretches between calls and we plan for it. Trucks carry the common heat pump and air conditioner repair parts so a diagnosis does not turn into a second trip on a hot afternoon.
- Heat pumps and sandy soilMost homes we visit run a heat pump, and sand, lawn clippings and pollen pack the outdoor coil fast. We clear it, check the defrost side in winter, and show you what we found before we close it up.
- Well water housesHomes on well water bring their own quirks, from pump-driven electrical noise to hard water on drain lines and condensate pans. We know where those systems clog and where the slow leaks hide.
- Heating repair tooCold snaps in this region are short and hard. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnaces, so one crew handles your system in July and again in January.
- All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
- Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
