Homeowners' pick for heating and cooling across north Florida and the Suwannee Valley

Duct Cleaning — Book a Visit Today

We clean residential duct systems, supply vents and return registers across Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, and the usual reason a homeowner calls is dust blowing out of the vents or a musty smell every time the AC starts. Ducts in this region sit in hot attics and crawlspaces, so they collect construction dust, insulation fibres, sandy grit tracked in from outside and sometimes moisture where a joint has pulled loose. A visit starts with us opening the return and looking inside with a camera, then we clean the trunk lines and branches, pull and wash the registers, and point out any torn duct or crushed flex that is feeding dirt back in. Change your filter, then call us and we will schedule a look.

The duct cleaning symptoms we hear most

  • Grey dust settles on everything two days after I dust Leaking return duct pulling attic or crawlspace air into the system
  • There is a musty smell every time the air conditioning kicks on Moisture in the duct or at the coil, biological growth on liner
  • One bedroom vent barely puts out any air Crushed or disconnected flex duct, or a register blocked by debris
  • Black streaks fanning out above the vent grilles Dirty registers and air leaking around an unsealed boot
  • We are all sneezing indoors and fine outside Dust and pollen loading in the duct and a bypassing filter

Whether you call it duct cleaning, air duct cleaning or vent cleaning, the work is identical and so is the quote you approve first.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1, Check the filter and change it if it is grey or you cannot see light through it.
  • 2Walk the house and confirm every supply vent and return grille is open and not blocked by furniture or rugs.
  • 3Check the thermostat is set to the mode you want and that the batteries are not dead, since a dead thermostat can look like no airflow.
  • 4Look at the breaker for the indoor and outdoor units and see whether one has tripped.

Duct Cleaning — quick answers

How do I know if my ducts actually need cleaning?

Pull a supply register off and look inside with a flashlight. Loose dust, matted lint or visible debris on the duct wall is worth cleaning. If the metal is clean an inch past the boot, your problem is likely the filter or a leak instead.

Will duct cleaning help with allergies?

It helps when the duct is genuinely dirty or drawing unfiltered attic air into the system, because that dirt keeps recirculating. It will not fix allergy symptoms caused by pets, carpet or open windows. We tell you honestly which one we are looking at.

How long does a duct cleaning visit take?

Most single family homes take a good part of a day depending on the number of supply runs, how the system is laid out and whether the crawlspace or attic access is tight. We give you a time window when we schedule and call if the drive runs long.

Do you clean the vents and registers too?

Yes. Registers and return grilles get pulled, washed and reinstalled as part of the work, and we clean the boot behind them. Those grilles hold a surprising amount of dust, and cleaning the duct while leaving dirty registers in place makes little sense.

Can dirty ducts make my AC work harder?

Restricted airflow makes the blower work against more resistance, and heavy dust carried to the indoor coil can pack the fins and hurt cooling. We check the coil and the filter setup during the visit and tell you what we find.

Do you fix duct problems you find while cleaning?

We do. Torn flex, disconnected branches, crushed runs and unsealed boots are common in this region, and we can quote repair or replacement of the affected sections. Cleaning a duct that is open to the attic just fills it back up.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptoms

You describe what changed. No cold air, a breaker that keeps tripping, water near the air handler, a smell, a noise. That gives us a head start on parts before we ever leave the shop.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behavior and the outdoor unit. We look at the whole system, because a frozen coil usually points somewhere else.

  3. Step 3

    You decide the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the rest of the system is likely to hold up. You pick the repair. We do not start work you did not approve.

Why homeowners call us

  • Rural routes are normal for usWe drive long stretches between calls and we plan for it. Trucks carry the common heat pump and air conditioner repair parts so a diagnosis does not turn into a second trip on a hot afternoon.
  • Heat pumps and sandy soilMost homes we visit run a heat pump, and sand, lawn clippings and pollen pack the outdoor coil fast. We clear it, check the defrost side in winter, and show you what we found before we close it up.
  • Well water housesHomes on well water bring their own quirks, from pump-driven electrical noise to hard water on drain lines and condensate pans. We know where those systems clog and where the slow leaks hide.
  • Heating repair tooCold snaps in this region are short and hard. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnaces, so one crew handles your system in July and again in January.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
