Homeowners' pick for heating and cooling across north Florida and the Suwannee Valley

Whole-Home Air Purifiers

We install and service whole-home air purifiers that mount inside your existing ductwork and treat the air every time the system runs, for homeowners across Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. Most people call us after months of dust on the vents, allergy symptoms that never let up indoors, or a musty smell that returns each humid season. Call us and describe what you are smelling or seeing, and we will look at your duct layout and airflow before we recommend anything.

What the installation actually involves

A whole-home air purifier goes into the return side of your HVAC system, usually near the air handler, so treated air reaches every room the ducts serve. We measure the cabinet and plenum, cut and seal an opening, wire the unit to a safe power source, and confirm the system still moves the air it was designed to move. On a heat pump in a tight closet, space is often the deciding factor. The job typically takes part of a day and leaves your filter slot working as it did before.

What we check before and during the work

We start with static pressure and filter condition, because a restricted system will not benefit from anything we add to it. We look at return sizing, duct leaks in the crawlspace or attic, and whether humidity is the real problem rather than particles. Then we check the blower, the coil for biological growth, and how long your system actually runs in a typical day. Short cycles mean less air treated. All of that shapes which purifier style fits, and whether ductwork repair should come first.

How we decide a purifier is the right call

If your complaint is dust settling within a day of cleaning, pet dander, pollen coming in through a leaky return, or a smell that shows up when the AC kicks on, a whole-home purifier is often a reasonable step. If the house feels sticky and windows sweat, we usually address humidity and airflow first, since a purifier will not fix that. We will tell you plainly when better filtration and sealed ducts would do more than new equipment. No sale beats an honest answer.

Whole-Home Air Purifiers — quick answers

Will a whole-home air purifier replace my regular filter?

No. Your filter still catches the larger particles and protects the coil and blower. The purifier handles what slips past. Keep changing filters on schedule, and we will show you the size and interval that suits your system.

Does it only work when the system is running?

Yes, air has to move through the ducts to be treated. Homes with short run times see less benefit, so we sometimes set the fan to circulate periodically. We will discuss that setting when we look at your thermostat.

Will it help with well water or septic odors in the house?

Sometimes, though those smells usually come from drains, traps or a plumbing vent rather than the air path. We will check whether the odor is being drawn into a return before recommending a purifier for it.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptoms

You describe what changed. No cold air, a breaker that keeps tripping, water near the air handler, a smell, a noise. That gives us a head start on parts before we ever leave the shop.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behavior and the outdoor unit. We look at the whole system, because a frozen coil usually points somewhere else.

  3. Step 3

    You decide the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the rest of the system is likely to hold up. You pick the repair. We do not start work you did not approve.

Why homeowners call us

  • Rural routes are normal for usWe drive long stretches between calls and we plan for it. Trucks carry the common heat pump and air conditioner repair parts so a diagnosis does not turn into a second trip on a hot afternoon.
  • Heat pumps and sandy soilMost homes we visit run a heat pump, and sand, lawn clippings and pollen pack the outdoor coil fast. We clear it, check the defrost side in winter, and show you what we found before we close it up.
  • Well water housesHomes on well water bring their own quirks, from pump-driven electrical noise to hard water on drain lines and condensate pans. We know where those systems clog and where the slow leaks hide.
  • Heating repair tooCold snaps in this region are short and hard. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnaces, so one crew handles your system in July and again in January.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
