Homeowners' pick for heating and cooling across north Florida and the Suwannee Valley

AC Tune-Up in Orlando, FL

A tune-up is hands-on work, not a walk-around. Our AC tune-up visits in Orlando include washing the condenser coil, checking capacitor readings against the rating, clearing the condensate drain before it backs up into the pan, tightening electrical connections, measuring temperature split at the return and supply, and confirming the blower is moving the air it should. We tell you what we found and what is likely next, with no upsell attached. Book by phone or fill in the quote form and we will schedule you.

Why Orlando homes end up needing this

  • First cold night and the heat smells like something burning Dust burn-off on heat strips or a heat exchanger and burner needing service
  • My power bill climbed but nothing about the house changed Declining airflow, worn blower motor or a system short cycling
  • The air coming out just isn't cold like it used to be Dirty coils, low refrigerant charge or a filter choking airflow

What an AC tune-up visit involves

We start at the thermostat and work outward. That means checking the temperature split between the return and the supply, looking at how the blower is moving air, and pulling the panel on the outdoor unit to see the condenser coil and electrical connections. We wash the outdoor coil when it needs it, clear the condensate drain, and tighten what has vibrated loose over a season. Then we tell you what we found in plain terms, including anything that is fine and does not need touching yet.

What we check and what we replace

Filters, capacitors, contactors and condensate lines are the parts we most often change on a tune-up. We read refrigerant pressures and amp draw on the compressor and fan motor to see whether the system is working harder than it should. On heat pumps, which is most of what we see out here, we test the reversing valve and defrost control so the heating side is ready too. Anything worn gets shown to you before we swap it, not after.

AC Tune-Up in Orlando — quick answers

How often should I have an AC tune-up?

Once a year for cooling, ideally in spring. If you run a heat pump for both heating and cooling, twice a year is reasonable since the system works most of the calendar.

Will a tune-up fix a house that never gets cool enough?

Sometimes. A dirty coil or a weak capacitor can cause it. But if the problem is duct leakage or a system sized wrong for the house, we will tell you that and explain your options.

How soon can you get to my house in Orlando?

Call us with your address and what the system is doing, and we will give you a real window rather than a guess. Summer afternoons are our heaviest stretch, so morning calls usually land same day. If your AC is out entirely and the house is holding heat, say so when you call and we will move you up the list.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptoms

You describe what changed. No cold air, a breaker that keeps tripping, water near the air handler, a smell, a noise. That gives us a head start on parts before we ever leave the shop.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behavior and the outdoor unit. We look at the whole system, because a frozen coil usually points somewhere else.

  3. Step 3

    You decide the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the rest of the system is likely to hold up. You pick the repair. We do not start work you did not approve.

Why homeowners call us

  • Rural routes are normal for usWe drive long stretches between calls and we plan for it. Trucks carry the common heat pump and air conditioner repair parts so a diagnosis does not turn into a second trip on a hot afternoon.
  • Heat pumps and sandy soilMost homes we visit run a heat pump, and sand, lawn clippings and pollen pack the outdoor coil fast. We clear it, check the defrost side in winter, and show you what we found before we close it up.
  • Well water housesHomes on well water bring their own quirks, from pump-driven electrical noise to hard water on drain lines and condensate pans. We know where those systems clog and where the slow leaks hide.
  • Heating repair tooCold snaps in this region are short and hard. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnaces, so one crew handles your system in July and again in January.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
